What's new with the FBTC?
Seeing as how it's been roughly 2.5 months since we caught up with the bunny posse, here's a call for updates...send me your news and I proise to post it ASAP.
Here's what I know, or at least strongly suspect:
| Foote - Hard at work coaching the might Eagles of Brentwood High towards another run at the California State Meet. Despite the loss of a number of key players and heavy hitters (read Birney, Big Ryan, Aspell), the Indomitable Beagles are still kicking ass and taking names in prep school league competition in So Cal. Big ups and mad props to Ryan Gordon and his floppy-headed little brother... let's call him "MicroRyan". Foote continues to show why he is known as both the unoffical Mayor of Brentwood and the best distance coach on the west side. See results here. |
Olds - Coaching against Foote is no easy task. Let's just put it that way. Despite the best efforts of coaches Olds and Trashmouth, the Roadrunners of good old XRoads High have had a rough autumn campaign. See results here. Lucky for David Olds, he has a lot of iron's in the fire. A national class Master's runner and possibly world class urban adventure racer, Olds appears to be up to his usual tricks so far this fall. With a victory at the LA Urban Challenge and a controversial first-place finish and subsequent DQ at the San Diego Urban Challege, Olds (and partner in crime Damian Garcia) are poised to take another stab at the Urban Challenge National (World?) Championship on November 15th in the Big Easy. All I know is, 25 Gradnd would buy a lot of huggies for Olds baby #3 due sometime this winter(?). |
| LBTM - Well, well, well. What do we have here. It seems the Trashman is experiencing something of a Rennaisance. Faster running, slightly less evil in his ways, fewer curses directed at innocent children. To what do we owe this dramatic change? Psychoactive drug therapy? No. Electroshock treatments? Negative. The replacement of some previously absent, but all important trace mineral in his diet? Good guess. Well what else could it be? No... it couldn't? Or could it? That's right. Kevin has a woman. God bless him. Our baby's grows up and he's grows up and he's grows up. Go Trasheater, go! | Damian - Well, I don't really know what's up here. Damian minus girlfriend equals what? Well, for one, it equals more time for violent video games. It certainly does not equal any more time spent on this godforsaken web site. Faster running? Well, that remains to be seen. | Wayne - Injured in an all-too-common tail-gating incident, I think the question we are all asking is, when do we get some new FBTC shirts? | Simon - Running well back at Depauw... recent finishes include 7th-place at the D3 PreNCAA meet and 8th at the UW Parkside Invite. I think it is safe to assume that besides some fast running, Simon is doing some awful things to some very nice girls. |
| Peter - A freshman at Dickinson College, young master Birney has had some ups and downs running-wise this fall. He's the wee lil' topless one in this team photo...
